Off the Mat I like to: I am a mother of three creative, intelligent, and fiery souls! I love spending time with my family, laughing (a lot), watching movies and talking about just about anything. I enjoy walking with my dog Willow out and about and especially in the woods. The beach is my favorite place on earth and where I try to spend as much time as possible all year round as the ocean feeds my soul.
I started teaching in 2000 in Central Ohio in the Ashtanga Yoga style and lineage. From there, I studied Iyengar Yoga and Yoga therapy and is where I received my first Yoga certification (RYT) through the school Integrative Yoga Therapy. Since then I have trained also in Anusara Yoga, ChildLight Yoga, and Unnata Aerial Yoga.
I love working with diverse populations focusing on the therapeutic benefits of a Yoga practice; those benefits being physical, mental, and emotional. I believe in meeting each student where they are in their practice at any given moment, which can vary day by day, minute by minute. The psychology and philosophy of Yoga are as equally important to me as the physical practice as I see them as intimately connected and not separated at all.
I started teaching as a part of the Ebb n’ Flow family in 2013 and took and gratefully and joyfully returning to share in this community after an 18 month hiatus where I’ve been welcomed back with open arms!
